You have all surely heard of StyleCopyCat.com, the blog which describes itself as "the blog about fashion we wear".
From Street-style, to Catwalk, special picks and blog posts, StyleCopycat is the meticulous and perfect assemblage of what is in at the moment. With over 11,000 followers on Bloglovin, the blog has become a true reference in the fashion world for everyone from editors to new-bee bloggers.
I recently got the opportunity to talk to its creator and founder, Su, and am very glad to share it all with you. Su, is mainly a spanish fashion designer, who has been in the industry for years. She is the eye behind it all! When she is not creating and assembling her new collection, she keeps up StyleCopycat to our deepest pleasure. Here are some of her precious words, enjoy!
Hi Su, thanks for having me.
Your blog, stylecopycat, has been going on for more than 3 years now, how did it all start for you?
It started because I've always kept a lot of visual fashion information and inspiration street-style images for my jobs. One day I decided to share it with all the people that love fashion, through this blog.
Do you feel it has changed and evolved since?
The essence is the same, I think, so not really. Lately, I've maybe added more personal posts, about my own shopping and more DIY ideas...
Your blog seems to be a huge work on research, how do you pick the trends you blog about?
I follow many many blogs, and just keep all the pictures I like or think will become a trend, even if they are not my style. It becomes totally like an instinct.

Can you describe a typical day of yours.
I wake up quite late, as I prefer to work during evenings. Take a fast breakfast and start checking my e-mail, and start solving all production and sampling issues (as I am a fashion designer). In the morning I am not really inspired, so I prefer to make all the administrative stuff. My inspiration comes later, so it is in the evening and night that I prefer to design. When I need a rest, (as I am all day sticked to my computer) I check my favourites blogs, as I usually post on my blog at night.
We do not see any pictures of yourself, which is quite rare for a fashion blog. How would you describe your style? Are you a true "stylecopycat"/ avid follower of your blog's trends?
My style is 80% the style of what you can see in the blog: a little rock, a little boho, a little urban…Being really shy I don't put pictures of myself in the blog. I really don't follow all the trends, I like what I like.. and there is many things/styles that can be trends, but are just not for me.

You have over 10,000 followers on Bloglovin, when did you realise you were starting to get a lot of recognition, and how did you work/blogging chance since?
From the very beginning the blog had a big success, it all happened quite fast.
Are you planning any fashion related projects for the future?
Indeed, I have been in the fashion business way before the blog was born. I started working as a fashion designer years ago, and before that, as a coolhunter, so for me this blog is something "natural".
Any final words for your followers and other bloggers out there?
I just thank you all for following Style Copycat, this blog is for you and has would have no sense without you.
